1975 in my congregation in north sacramento was in a mad rush to hurry out to service. Elders came to my dad house and told him to quit his job and full time pioneer. my dad laughed at them and told them they where nuts. he was disfellowshipped in 1976 for teasing the hall on why they sold there homes and quit there jobs. my mom got caught up in the frenzy for a minute but when 1982 came she was df'd along with many others during the great apostate hunt. many were not satisfied with the answers why the time of the end never came. unfortunatly they both reinstated themselves in the early 90's for whatever reason. But in 1975 many people were told not to go to school. i remember talks discouraging college and highschool. i know of two families personaly who suffered aftered those years for listening to those fools. The Redoble family sold 10 acres of land in sacto that now is called natomas, they could have been millionares. The Weber family sold thier business and homes, Roseville now boomed and they could have had a great deal of security but now both families are scraping by..I am glad my dad didnt listen to them, in fact my dad retired from sac county and also bought his third house, one of which is in hawaii....

i was just a little kid when the 1975 thing came about, didn't pay much attention to it, after it was over, my parents told me it was just some people being over anxious, and being about 8 at the time i believed it, now when you research you find some amazing articles.
what do you remember being told about 1975 as the year got closer ?

i read several scriptures about neglecting your father and mother but it is the org's word that came first.
i read to her many scriptures on making sure your family is well taken care of but to no avail she quoted a magazine..... my sister had decided not to have children believing the end is near but it never came when the org told her it would come.

Will the org support you or advise to get welfare or work at a job you have no skills since you done nothing but field service? I told her before she hung up that to tell dad you will never call him again and that you want nothing to do with mom because they decided to leave a religion that is in itself apostate from christ teaching is a greater sin because that commandment was from the very god she says she prays too and it goes against the very foundation of Christ's teaching of love and compassion. She simply stated the jehovah will provide because she is in the truth.. i told her one last time that to neglect your family will bring retrobution from jehovah not praise.....

Satanic music or not (Opeth) - boundaries of JW listening material
by Frantic inas you may or may not know, some jw elders may resent some of their music thier children may listen to.. put simply, a 'death growl' is often viewed as a warped version of satan.
the band opeth use such death grow, however, are not satanic, with one reference to 'demon of the fall' (one of their songs).
they also combine death vocals with beautiful vocals, possibly the best in the business, alongside maynard james kennan (a perfect circle).

When my father was young he was told not to listen to Elvis and when i was much younger i was told by several elders to throw out my led zep albums now my kids have been told not to listen to any christian music or rock because they will be lead astray to have sex and do drugs or believe false teaching of christ..so nothing has changed. commen sense and balanced ethics should be enough advice to anyone who listens to what ever kind of music they want. I was told not to listen to asian music once and it made me laugh and i ask the elder why? he said we dont know what the person is singing about. how ignorant. it was only tieko drum music....and a mix of melodies on a tape from japan. my friend taped it for me when he was japan off there top ten radio music in 1994.....

if those of you who been reading my post know the drama many of us including me have suffered for the ignorance and hatred from those who think they are rightious. The rest of my family who knew of the wedding kept the information so hush hush my cousin mikey didnt even know until a day later that his sister married. His own dad never said even after speaking with his son several times before then. i didnt find out until last week. the jw org goes against every teaching that christ as set for all of us, they failed to show love and compassion yet still believe they serve god. I told my cousin mikey that they forgot about christ and pray for the org and to jah but it is christ we are to bow too not the org. the org has placed themselves in a holy place pushing christ aside. i told him listen to the prayers, it is to jehovah only and always ends saying 'thru christ'. should it not be to christ for him to pass on our prayers to god when the time comes after christ cleanses us after his thousand year rein. my cousin now wants to leave the org for good. I told my cousin mikey what you did by not wanting to go out in service makes you so apart and a stranger that your own dad and sister can not invite you to a large wedding here in sacramento..i could see the pain in his eyes. he said his own grandfather c.o brother vaughn didnt even say a word to him but asked him to lay carpet in his motorhome just two weeks before but never said a thing.....EVIL IS IN THE ORG AND THEY ARE EVIL TO OBEY WHAT CHRIST CONDEMED FROM THE OLD WAYS OF THE DIRTY ISRAELITES...

***the mole** when i was young i remember the elders coming to my home and telling my dad to quit his job and spend it doing full time service and them telling him that the end is very soon that the year 1975 marks the time of adams death...my dad would argue with them and ask how they knew when adam died..they would go on with numbers and scriptures that made no sense. now that my dad retired those men are still working and a few dropped out of the jw's...they also told my family not to go to college and made a big deal about it my mom went anyways..now she is an rn and kaiser..1982 came by and once again they had facts on the 144,000 and jesus exact day of his death and the end would come again and they came over and told my dad to sell his house..i remember so many idiots selling their homes running up bills thinking they wouldnt have to pay them back because they would be in the new order...then 1985 came and my moms friends where being kick out of bethel and other postions for questioning the org..so then came the big apostate years....when 1995 came and the end has not arrived came the change or new light on the generation thing..my dad laughed so hard at the ignorance they sold to so many fools...2000 came and their 'time of the end' still hasnt arrived we wait to see what new light they have now...***the mole

the elders may be gone but soon i will be alone
by the mole inthe word has spread to my family that i questioned my sister and the elders came to my home..several of my aunts had called already and my one uncle from georgtown ca....they being so very concerned on my spirtitual wellbeing have forgotten that i have questions on why the organization does what it does.
i finally confessed to my uncle sam that last year another m.s approached me and told me his crimes against a new sister's child while he watched them one night when she was at a get together with other brothers and sisters.
i cringed at what my uncle has said but to argue with him would have been a brick wall.

by the mole ini recieved another letter from ray franz and it was in type but it didnt have the same personal feeling like the letters i had recieved before.
his health must be getting worse.
...brother franz had told me to keep strong and continue to do what was good to my children and dear friends as he survive his turmoil so i too i will survive.

***the mole*** how sad it is that people with their negative attitude cannot even rejoice in the most simple of comforts of a kind letter. does it matter who thinks of what and of who to post such horrible things. each man has an opinion of the goal and a diffrent way to reach the same point in life. i have tried to leave the org and find those who have questions. bill has written me and so has ray and i shall not judged neither of them as i wont contridict the people in charge of maintaining this site so that those who are current witness and former jw's can have a place to go. if a simpleton with weak mental capabilties cant find the goodness in a simple letter from a man taken from his world then there shall be no comfort for the petty ignorant fools who breath wasted air. ray could have looked the other way and kept on with his life and bill could have not gave a damn about some girl who was groped and fondled but neither didnt and that took more courage than worring if bill has a disagreement with ray. Bill has posted many of rays letters if one would take the time to read them instead of being locked in one room sweaty with a sore rear staring at a screen instead of reading the knowledge in front of them.....Bill and Ray took a stand instead of sitting some where not doing a thing....i have but started my turn will soon come.....***the mole***
